Specialized yoga coaching designed for you & your body.
What is yoga coaching?
Yoga coaching provides private, 1:1 support to help improve your mobility, flexibility, and your overall quality of life.
If you're just starting your yoga journey or you're an experienced practitioner looking to take things to the next level, Yoga Coaching offers authentic, intuitive support for your physical and emotional body to improve your wellbeing holistically.
Yoga coaching is somewhere between having a customized class that supports your unique needs, and a holistic personal trainer who specializes in yoga and embodied wellness!
Private yoga might be supportive for you if…
You want to focus on mobility so you can have less pain in your muscles & joints, and more freedom to do activities you love
You tried a yoga class before and felt like it was made for someone more flexible, strong, or just plain younger than you
Some teachers make you feel overwhelmed, like you just want to yell “Slow down!!!”
You’re over the competitive vibe of studios
You want someone to give you specific movements to help with your unique needs, preferences, or injuries
Why private yoga instead of drop-in classes at a studio or a personal trainer?
This is not a plug-and-play class! In our private studio space, you’ll receive undivided attention, tailored specifically to your unique needs and goals.
Balance Bodywork & Yoga provides the ideal setting for growth and self-discovery. Our sessions cater to all levels and objectives. Book your session today and experience the transformative power of personalized yoga coaching.
If you’re new to yoga:

Choose Your Yoga Experience
Select the flavors of yoga you want. Your flow can be as relaxing or as spicy as you like!
-
Focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Appropriate for the beginning student, someone recovering from an injury, or someone who needs to move more slowly.
-
A continuous flow through strong sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and standing postures, linking breath with movement. Build strength and endurance as you push the edge of your balance and flexibility.
-
Yin yoga is a slow-paced, passive type of yoga that incorporates long holds and deep breaths for a stretch that gets right into the muscle fibers. Yin yoga involves a series of seated and supine postures, typically held for 3-5 minutes at a time. This is a practice of surrender, encouraging sensory awakening that melts away residual tension and stress
-
A gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release.
-
A marriage of the strong, yang Vinyasa Yoga with the receptive Yin Yoga. Active, yet grounding sun salutations and standing flows are offered in the first half of class to enliven the body and chase away any fatigue, followed by low-to-the ground holds to downregulate the nervous system.
-
This class will move your body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support may be offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.
You do not have to be young.
